Yhaw Fargo Clarifies Hitz FM Allegations & Why He Changed His Name

The LIVE WITH AACE team in a bid to promote creatives especially the up and coming ones from Central Region and beyond paid a visit to the studios of Yhaw Fargo, a talented and versatile artiste based in Cape Coast.

The almost an hour live conversation on Facebook, took us on a journey of getting to know a lot, not only music-wise, about this budding act, BHARDMAN FARGO. He let us into his childhood; not quite the rosy one, which influences most of his lyrics, his education, his neighborhood, the beginning of his music journey till date and so on.

It was certainly an entertaining session as it saw his fans trooping in to the comment section to give their support and ask him few questions on music and life in general. ‘How come a young act like him has changed his showbiz name not less than 4 times during these few years’ was the most asked question during the live and he felt it was time to clear the air.

According to him, an incident that happened when he was billed to perform during a hall week celebration at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) influenced the change of his name from Slim Khid to Yhaw Fargo. During the said show, the MC called for the next performing act, which was ‘Slim Khid’, and thinking he was the one got on the stage to thrill his fans. But surprisingly another artiste bearing the same name had already mounted the stage. It was such an awkward but funny scene.

After the program, he had talks with his management and they had no other option than to change his name. Hence his present name, Yhaw Fargo; meaning Yaw (a male born on Thursday) will go far (Far)

He also hinted on some collaborations with other artistes in and out of the region.
